  • Have subscribed to a Contextual TRIAL mode offer and obtained your ID/password.
  • Have Experimenter privileges.
  • Have a trial in the Collecting Data or Finished status.

Let's manage my trial

During the design phase, the trial is in the Preparing status. After that, it can move to Collecting Data, Finished, and Archived. Let’s take an overview.

Trial state Definition

πŸ”΄ Participants do not have access to the trial, even if they are associated with it.
🟒 Experimenter can edit and modify each part of the trial.
🟒 Expermienter can click the Start Collection button to move the trial into the Collecting Data status.
Collecting Data Trial is deployed, data are being collected.
🟒 Participants have access to and can run the sequences they are assigned to.
πŸ”΄ Experimenter cannot edit or modify the trial. They can only view the content of the sequences and actions.
🟒 Experimenter can add participants.
🟒 Experimenter can click the Finish Trial button to move the trial into the Finished status.
🟒 Experimenter can download the results and analyse the collected data.
Finished The trial is over.

🟒 Experimenter can still download the results and analyse the collected data.

Let's download the data collected

In the Results section of your trial, each sequence has a "Download Results" button. When you click this button, a .zip file is downloaded. It contains:

File Definition
summary.xlsx This xlsx file summarizes the sequence results. Each row represents an instance where a subject ran the sequence. The columns are structured as follows:
β€’ Column A: Subject's name who has run the sequence.
β€’ Column B: Time when the sequence has been scheduled.
β€’ Column C: Time when the sequence has been run by the subject.
β€’ Column D and the subsequent columns: Each column corresponds to an answer provided by the participant. If it is a Question, the column title is the question itself, and the answer appears in the cell. If it is a Measurement, the column title is the sensor setup name, and the measurement file name appears in the cell.
Additional files Alongside the summary file, there is one csv file for each measurement performed within the sequence. All these files are listed in the summary.xlsx file.
ℹ️ Results can be downloaded either during the Collecting Data phase or once the trial is Finished.
