Contextual Instruments solution
The ecosystem
The Contextual Instruments ecosystem comprises:
- A Contextual Instruments sensor that works in tandem with the app via a BLE connection.
- A mobile app that drives the sensor and sends data to the cloud platform.
- A cloud-based platform where you can find all the measurements — and much more.
- Depending on your role and permissions, you can access the platform through a compatible web browser (see Platform for further details).
Operating modes and users
The Contextual Instruments solution provides two operating modes: LIVE and TRIAL. Access to these modes is restricted to users with the experimenter permission level, and depends on the subscribed plan as well as the intended activity.
LIVE mode
This mode is specifically designed for conducting measurements. It is exclusively available to Experimenter users. The workflow of this mode can be presented as follows:
- Step 1 : the user connects to their sensor, adjusts the sensor setup parameters, and manages the measurement. For certain sensors, a live stream of the acquisition is available on a dedicated interface in the mobile app. At the end of the measurement, the user can visualize the acquired data and add notes if necessary.
-
Step 2 : Once the measurement is completed, the user can choose to delete it or save it. If the save option is selected, the data are immediately synchronized with the platform.
-
Step 3 : All synchronized measurements are available on the platform. Dedicated features allow the user to filter, sort, and retrieve their data.
TRIAL mode
This new feature is coming soon. Stay tuned!
